Starting New Things
October was a busy month, between markets, personal projects, and social events there was a lot going on. But something that took up a big part of my attention was taking on a new support role in a local local gallery space (spoilers it's been amazing).
Having been entirely freelance in the creative sphere for over 2 years to suddenly having a physical space I work in again has been interesting. There's something about working solo that can be very liberating but also very isolating. And while I'm still a freelancer (and love the work I do both as an artist and as an artist assistant) being able to spend part of my week in a vibrant space working with wonderful people and supporting other artists has been a joy and introduced me to a whole new community and source of creative energy that makes me very excited. While this month felt a little chaotic and went by so quickly as I adjusted to the new changes to my schedule I am so happy with this change and excited to see how I can grow within this new phase of my creative practice.
