End of Year Update

2025 is over, and in the end of year chaos, I forgot to send out a November update! Read Below for my reflection on 2025, new and upcoming projects, and my goals for 2026. Read all the way to the bottom to learn about subscriber freebies.

Reflecting on 2025

2025 was a huge year of firsts, of experimentation, and of trying new things. There were moments where it felt like a lot (and i definitely bit off more than I could chew) but I learned so much and am so grateful for the experiences I have had.

I did 24 markets this year which was amazing... but also a lot. I had set the personal goal of doing 10 and blew that number out of the water. While this was not my first year doing markets I was my first year in a long time (and the first time I had offered this body of work). Some markets were great, others less so but I am grateful for every sale, every experience, every lesson, and every conversation I got to have this year. I will absolutely be doing markets in 2026 (although maybe not as many).

Markets were also a huge parts of helping me grow my community. I have met so many other lovely artists, creatives, and fabulous business owners this year and I am so thankful for the community and friendships I have found and built this year.

I created my website, and started an email list (hello all your lovely people who have joined me here)

I started selling my work wholesale to local business which leads to my next point...

I had my worked featured at the Art House Cafe here in Ottawa and am very happy to see that my work spoke to so many people! I love the Art House community and feel very lucky to be a part of such a fabulous space.

I made a lot of art... everything form painting to illustration to photography I really let my creativity flow. There were some months that were harder but 2025 was a great year for teaching myself ways to get back into my groove.

There are other lofty ideas I had this year. Products and projects i wanted to make, connections I wanted to build, that I just didn't have the time to put towards... yet! I'm so proud of what I created this year and the path I have laid out for myself and I cannot wait to see what 2026 holds.

What's New?

I've got a handful of new gingham and plaid patterns in my Spoonflower shop that are perfect for a cozy winter or spring look.

I started creating digital collage again after a long time off and have found myself re-energized by the creative expression I can achieve with collage work. Check out two of my new pieces below.

Plus, I'm having a lot of fun with texture and acrylic both with stylized paintings and abstract.

Goals for 2026

  • Make more of the stuff that makes me happy, feeds my creativity, and connects with people
  • Work with more business, both local and global to share our creativity and make new things together.
  • Continue getting to know my community and getting out-and-about through local events and creative spaces
  • Get more of my work out there and more easily available to others (more news on this to come).
